Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Swan Beauty Mirrors Pty Ltd (ABN 13 650 954 742) (“Swan Beauty”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit or buy from swanbeauty.com.au (the “Site”), email or chat with us, or book a FaceTime appointment. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

Device information. When you visit the Site, we automatically collect information about your device, including your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. As you browse, we also collect the pages and products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with it. We collect this using:

• Cookies: small data files placed on your device, often with an anonymous unique identifier. To learn more about cookies and how to disable them, visit allaboutcookies.org.
• Log files: these record actions on the Site, including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, and date and time stamps.
• Web beacons, tags and pixels: small electronic files that record how you browse the Site.

Order information. When you buy or try to buy from us, we collect your name, billing address, delivery address, email address, phone number and payment details. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers, so we never see or store your full card number.

Messages and appointments. When you email us, use our contact form, chat with us or book a FaceTime appointment, we collect your name, contact details (including the phone number or Apple ID you use for FaceTime) and anything you choose to share with us.

Newsletter. When you sign up to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

How we use your information

Honesty is our best policy, so here's exactly how we use your information:

• to process your order and payment, and send your invoices and order confirmations
• to arrange delivery with you, including your delivery window or safe-place instructions
• to answer your questions, run FaceTime appointments and handle warranty claims
• to screen orders for potential risk or fraud (in particular, using your IP address)
• to improve the Site, for example by understanding how customers browse it and how well our marketing works
• where it matches the preferences you've shared with us, to send you news, offers and specials.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the people who help us look after you:

• Shopify, which powers our online store. Read Shopify's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics, which helps us understand how customers use the Site. Read Google's privacy policy or opt out of Google Analytics.
• Afterpay, if you choose to pay with Afterpay.
• Delivery partners, if your order is delivered by someone other than our own MYSWAN team.
• Advertising partners, to show you relevant ads (see below).

Some of these providers, including Shopify and Google, may store information outside Australia, such as in Canada or the United States. We may also share your information when the law requires it, for example to respond to a subpoena or search warrant, or to protect our rights.

Behavioural advertising

We use your information to show you targeted ads and marketing we think you'll love. To find out how targeted advertising works, visit the Network Advertising Initiative. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Google ad settings, your Facebook ad settings or through the Digital Advertising Alliance.

Marketing emails

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep your order information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@swanbeauty.com.au.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, please email us and we'll work with you to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
